Review of :- Don't Hate Your Enemies Step On Them: The Art Of Loving People
How many times did you felt tempted to vent about other people? How many times have you been mocked, complained about, or been hurt by the actions of another person? We've all been in situations like this, I'm sure.
What will be the best way to handle these situations in a way that is pleasing to God?
E.E. Jenkins has written one book that will assist you in dealing with some of the destructive situations in which you find yourself. "E.E. Jenkins book" will change your perspective on these situations. Is it the person you despise or their words and actions? It's not the people who are misbehaving toward you.
Only one person is to blame: Satan. Blaming has undoubtedly existed since the time of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Nevertheless, God has reasons for putting people like this in our lives for a reason.
It seems strange to love your enemies. But did you know that God instructs us to do just that? In I John 4:7-8, it is written:" Dear friends, let us practice loving one another because love comes from God, and those who are loving and kind demonstrate that they are getting to know him better. However, if a person is not loving and kind, it indicates that he does not know God – for God is love."
"This book of E.E. Jenkins" examines the importance of not judging others. It discusses conducting self-evaluations of how you handle these situations. Complaining and its destructive effects are discussed in two chapters. The power of rage is given its chapter. This book has many great points about forgiveness, how forgiving you are, and what should motivate you to forgive others.
The chapter titled "The Power of Agreement" was one of the most valuable parts of this book for me. E.E Jenkins suggests ways for the reader to agree. "One of the key stumbling blocks that the enemy uses to perpetuate division is disagreement." E.E. Jenkins shares his acronym for AGREE, which is definitely something to remember when in a relationship dispute. He also provides you with a chart of various oppositions and solutions that will assist you in developing a God-pleasing solution to dealing with angry and complaining people.
I will undoubtedly recall this book when confronted with destructive criticism or wondering why I have to put up with these types of people. I like how E.E. Jenkins uses appropriate Scripture verses to make his point. This is, without a doubt, this is a must-read for every Christian, young and old. You, too, can choose to love others over hating your enemies or your circumstances!
